The hours for this season can not be made until we know when we will be at home for games and when we will be away for games. Every weekend from August 25th through November playoffs will have games. We just need to find out which are ours at home before we can set-up dibs items.
Remember for 2012 Participation hours, you must work 4 hours in the concession stand on a weekend game day to get your participation hours completed. We are always thankfull for those who help with extra time, but we need the time in the concession stand. Without the required concessions time, we always have problems with getting people to work in the concession stand. You will have to work the full four hours or loose your time. If you do not show up for your selected shift, your hours are forfeited since we need to replace you with another parent.

All items are available to be seen in Dibs.
Who can complete my participation hours? Only adults can complete your participation hours. You can not have your kids work for you. This is for parent participation. Each family needs eight hours of participation time so there is a 8 hour limit of what can be selected. Yes, you need the full eight hours. It would not be fair to other families if you only work 7, but get credit for 8 hours.
“Dibs” is a new tool we use to identify, and show what is available to be worked for your participation hours. Items in the Dibs tab can be selected and then accepted for you to work. When these items are done, they will need to be verified and marked as “completed”. This should take no longer then a week. Your profile will then show how many hours you worked and you can see what it was.
Just register? If you just registered you will not see your hours yet. You have to be added to the group and then have your hours added manually. Once that is done, your hours will be seen on your profile. Email below and mention you just joined.
How many hours do I have? Once you have been added to the group and your hours are added if you are new, you can view your hours by selecting on your name in the upper left and then selecting "Dibs".
The bottom of this page has an example shown. Any questions, please contact Bryan at webmaster@homerstallions.com
Item - Parker site Parking help - For parents that will be able to stay at the Parker location. Mainly parents of 7,8,9, & 10 year olds. Reason being they will be there when parking help is needed before practice starts and after practice is done. The teams would be Widgets and PeeWees at the location. 4 days, an hour each day.
The first few days of parking at a new field are the most important. Nobody is going to know where to park and there is nothing marked. The Sheriff will be out for the road control and stopping traffic on Parker.
We are looking for ten people that will be able to help with traffic and parking at the Parker field location. There will be the first week to complete all four of your hours. Monday, after the General meeting of the board members and then coaches, about 6:15 you will all meet to discuss what needs to be done with parking at the Parker site. If there is time, you may all ride out there quickly to see exactly where everything is. On Tuesday thru Friday, you should be able to get to the Parker site about 5:15 on Tuesday and 5:30 Wednesday thru Friday to help direct traffic into parking locations. We will setup your cars in locations to start rows of parking. Then you will help direct everyone coming in, into the correct parking areas so we maintain safe distances and access to fields. Each day after practice lets out, if you can all rotate for the first few days getting everyone out of the lot. It should only take about three a day.
The first week will be the worst as everyone will be new at how this location is going to work. Everyone there will have to check-in with Tony who will be on site for problems and questions. Any questions, Please email us and let us know. HomerStallions@homerstallions.com
Item - Concessions Help
One change from last year is we will not have pre-selection of working the front or back of the concession stand. When you arrive, you will be told where additional help is needed. Concessions help includes, Bathrooms, Front of the Concessions, Back of the concessions, Garbage pick-up and possibly Parking. If you are asked to do any of these and you say "No, I don't do Bathrooms" for instance, you will be logged out and your participation hours will be forfeited. Everyone will be doing Bathroom checks and cleaning throughout the day.
Concessions Help - Division - Front – Working the front of the concession stand includes all of the following but does not limit what will be asked to be done. Front counter taking orders and making what is ordered. Stock all pop, candy, chips, ice-cream, condiments and anything else that is kept in the front area from the back freezer and stockroom cooler. Replacing any pop you remove from the back stockroom cooler with warm pop to cool. All dishes from the front must be finished before you are done and sink left empty when you leave. Failure to do so will result in your being sent home without the completed hours. If sent home you will not be allowed to work in the concession stand for hours again and will lose your participation time.
We do not ask you to do anything we have not done ourselves.
Concessions Help - Division - Back – Working the back of the concession stand includes all of the following but does not limit what will be asked to be done. Taking food orders and filling them, cooking on the grill any food that needs to be cooked, preparing buns and pizza to be sold, stocking all pop in the back coolers to be sold cold. Replacing any pop you remove from the back stockroom cooler with warm pop to cool. People in the back will also be given times when they need to walk around and clean up garbage on the sidelines. This may be two or three at once or just one person. At times guys will also be asked to empty the blue barrels that are out on the field. This may include removing the bags to the dumpster with a golf cart. Other times people will be given a area to watch and direct people to the back parking lot.
We do not ask you to do anything we have not done ourselves.
Concessions Help - Division - Bathrooms
We will need constant checks on the Bathrooms for clean floors and stocked paper products. Floors may need to be mopped and toliets plunged if needed. Bathrooms will be cleaned on a regular basis throughout the day. If you are asked to do this and you say "No" or I don't do bathrooms, your hours will be forfeited for the year.
We do not ask you to do anything we have not done ourselves.
Concessions Help - Division - Garbage pick-up
We will need some to go around and pick-up garbage throuout the day at different times and empty cans if needed. All bags will need to be taken to the dumpster and new bags lined in the cans.

Item - Weekday concessions – Same as concessions front, but bathrooms are done when closing up. Weekday concessions will run between 5:30 and 7:45. This will allow time for the bathrooms to be done at the end and if you were busy, you may stay until 8:00. All hours would be changed to show the extra time. This item will NOT count for the 4 hours of weekend concessions time.
We do not ask you to do anything we have not done ourselves.
Item - Chain Gang - Working the chain gang at the kids game during your kids scheduled game. The time shown will be scheduled for your childs games start time and scheduled for one hour. Your shift will be for the full time of the game including any overtime, timeouts, injuries or anything else until the game is over. Each chain gang time done will count for one hour. You can ONLY work during your childs games and not during another game. We are testing this being done for hours and may have to remove it if there are problems with people selecting games and times. Make sure your coach knows who you are when working the chains for hours since they verify who was there. Since this will only be for scheduled regular games, you are asked to also do any pick-up games your team has during the week. With only four games at home this year, you still need hours another way also to get in your full participation time. This item will NOT count for the 4 hours of weekend concessions time.
Item - Cookie Dough Pick-up - Cookie dough pick-up is one of the busiest times for us after concessions. The truck will get to the Blue shed and we will then have to unload, stack, sort and verify all the cookie dough first. The dough does come on pallets off the truck. Picking the dough orders begins with the large orders so they are pulled asside and ready for pick-up. Then all orders are gone through as parents come to get the cookie dough and if needed, helped to load their cars. You are expected to stay for the full time you select or hours will be forfeited. A set number of slots will be available for workers and more will be added if needed. You can NOT have your kids with you when you are working cookie dough. If so, you will be asked to leave without completeing your hours and your time would be forfeited. There is not enough room and they can get hurt to easy. This item will NOT count for the 4 hours of weekend concessions time.
Item - Dance chaperone - Chaperones are at the dance to watch over what is going on. Chaparones will be given a main area they will be in including the bathrooms, concessions, main floor or dance area. Main things to keep an eye on is the kids not doing anything you would not want your son or daughter to do. Also be sure they are not doing anything to damage the facilities or anything that can hurt themselves. All kids entering the dance are charged entry. This is an item that has been used, but this may not be used this year.
