Welcome to the 2025 Stallions Cheer Program

The Stallions Cheer program is a non-profit recreational program for athletes in the southwest Chicago suburbs who want to compete in cheer during the spring. There are no try-outs or special requirements to join. Our focus is on helping them develop essential skills for their ongoing growth and success.

We strive to introduce the sport of cheerleading in a safe, fun, and positive environment. Our objective is not only to teach the fundamentals and rules of the sport, but also to help each athlete understand how sports can develop and promote positive life qualities such as teamwork, discipline, respect, effort, perseverance, and physical fitness.

2025 SPRING COMPETITION CHEER

Goal

The Stallions Cheer competitive program is committed to fostering a competitive spirit and aim to achieve excellence in every competition we enter. Our athletes are encouraged to set high standards, work hard, and strive to perform their best at every event.

Team Structure

Teams are organized according to the grade levels and the number of athletes who sign up. Each team requires a minimum of 10 athletes. For the 2025 season, the teams are planned to be:

  • 1st-3rd grades: Fillies
  • 4th-6th grades: Vixens

Stallions Cheer reserves the right to change this structure based on registrations.

Spring Season

Practices will begin the week of January 6, 2025. Stallions Cheer will compete in 2 of the ICA’s 3 spring competitions. Competitions are currently scheduled for March 9, March 15 and April 12, 2025. Practices will be optional during spring break.

Commitment

Practices will be 2 days per week for 2 hours at a time. Athletes and parents will be required to agree to a behavior policy (https://bit.ly/2025StallionsSpringBehaviorPolicy) and attendance policy (https://bit.ly/2025StallionsSpringAttendancePolicy). Given the shortened timeline of the spring season, no more than two absences (excused or unexcused) are allowed throughout the season. Exceeding this limit may result in a meeting with the coach and parents to discuss the reasons for the absences and potential consequences. The season calendar can be found here: https://bit.ly/2025StallionsSpringCalendar.

Practice Locations

Given the spring season is uniting athletes from various fall programs spread across multiple southwest suburbs, the practice locations have been carefully selected. The goal is to ensure that at least one of the two weekly practices is conveniently located close to a significant number of athletes' hometowns. This approach minimizes travel time and fosters a more inclusive and accessible training environment for all participants. Practices will be held at:

Rebuilt, 21739 S Center Ave, New Lenox, IL 60451

If you are interested in any of these volunteer positions, please contact us at stallionscheerleader@gmail.com.

Team Managers

Each team will need a volunteer Team Manager who will be responsible for serving as a liaison between coaches and parents and ensuring effective communication and coordination with parents.

Coaches

Head Coaches oversee the coaching staff for each team. Assistant Coaches assist head coaches and work directly with cheerleaders during practices and events. Junior Coaches, who are high school age or younger, support the coaching staff for each team. Coaches will undergo training, certification, and background checks by US Cheer. They will also receive a subscription to the Cheer Moxie app to facilitate teaching stunting skills.

Uniforms in good condition will be able to be resold at the end of the season to fall athletes. Fitting

Fittings will be done at Papa Joe's in Lockport  on Sunday, January 12, 2025. All profits from food sales that evening will also go to Stallions Cheer so we encourage you to stay for dinner that night, meet other Stallions Cheer families and have fun!
